- Sunscreen Film Festival Intuition Owner Dawn Shannon is named Director of Hair & MakeUp and the staff of Intuition Salon and Spa are contributing to the Sunscreen Film Festival by providing model hair for presentation of fashion, hair and makeup during two of the after parties - one at the Dali Museum and another at Nove 535. Dawn found and coordinated the fashion designers, models, stylists, makeup artists and photographers - as well as taking on several of the models herself, to help show how fashion and film work together to create a truly artistic experience for the average movie goer.  Sunscreen Film Festival Board Member and Director of Events Lisa Mansel said, "In April of this year, Dawn took on the post of 'Director of Hair and Make Up' for the Sunscreen Film Festival in downtown St. Petersburg. Over the course of the festival, there were two big fashion shows that were incorporated into the overall event. Dawn got the designers to contribute their clothes, got the models on board, arranged for her staff to do the hair and makeup and again, did a 100% professional and enthusiastic job."  |

Fashion and Arts Week "The purpose of Fashion and Arts week is to help revitalize the Cleveland Street district through fashion, arts and cultural activities. "Not only do the arts add beauty and excitement to an area, studies have shown the presence of aesthetics can significantly boost the economy of a neighborhood. "Fashion and Arts Week will include a VIP reception at Water's Edge, a sample sale from designers including Craig Taylor and 10,000 Villages, fashion shows at System Productions, a film screening from the Sunscreen Film Festival, a ballet presented by the Guilfoil Ballet Theatre, street performers, musicians, an open air art show and more. "All activities will be free of charge, with exception of the film screening and the ballet.We look forward to playing a role in the revitalization of our community just as much as we look forward to the event's sample sales!" - |
